Fifty years ago the Rolling Stones became the Rolling Stones: on April 23, 1971, Sticky Fingers was released, the archetype of rock classicism, a mix of genius and amateur sneaker. Since then, they have been a brand more than a band.
I have developed a series of five artworks in homage to this legendary English group, in which this album represents the central hub of their history, iconic in every aspect: from the Warholian cover, to the winking and dirty title. The iconic element is what interests me.
Keith is also an extraordinary musician by synthesis, who invented a series of intros made up of one or two chords such as to make the piece recognizable at the first notes, sometimes already at the first.
