The three veiled women are the subject of the work, but as usual in my production the protagonist is above all the one who is not present, who cannot be seen. By canceling the background, I implicitly talk about it, and the overcoming of the horror vacui, with the large monochrome backdrops that are a distinctive feature of my style, manifests itself in placing the scene outside of time and space. For me, the landscape in the background does not matter, and as in other cases, my subjects live in a suspended area, where in reality the actions are important and revolutionary.

In this case the purple background is the symbol of a love towards a communication closer to spirituality, because it links the fiery redness to the calmness of the blue. It is a color linked to a deeper, more intellectual, more elaborate, more reflective seduction. It is also the impediment to personal expression of the Covid-19 era, which is ideally associated with cultural issues and health issues, and overcome in the act of taking a selfie.
